Speculation mounts over possible deal
AJ Gallagher is one of a handful of suitors interested in buying Barbon Insurance Group, Insurance Times understands.
It is uncertain whether Barbon would be sold as a whole or piecemeal.
Barbon had a year of change in 2012, including overhauling its top management to create four managing directors for the four businesses within its property and commercial division in March.
A Gallagher spokesman would not comment. A Barbon spokesman said the firm would not comment on speculation.
