IT services provider Rebus iS said Alexander Forbes and Robert Fleming had become the first brokers to take on its new open-platform international broking system, Brokasure Enterprise.
Brokasure Enterprise is an end-to-end broking solution designed to meet the needs of medium- to large-sized international intermediaries.
The system automates the entire insurance lifecycle, with IBA accounting offered through Rebus' Enterprise Accounts system.
Rebus iS said: "Powered by Oracle and running on Windows NT/2000, Brokasure Enterprise is one of the first solutions in the industry to be built on an open platform."
Alexander Forbes Group IT director Simon Coleman said: "We expect it (Brokasure Enterprise) will enable us to respond more quickly and proactively to queries on credit control and funds movements.
"In today's market, it is key that brokers have such information available to meet service levels and Brokasure Enterprise gives us the visibility and automated procedures to achieve this efficiently."
Robert Fleming Insurance Brokers IT manager Mike Taylor said: "Brokasure Enterprise will unlock the data residing on our systems.
"It will allow us to track our business processes closely, enabling us to improve our service to trading partners and to conform to LMP2001 regulations."
