Insurer cuts number of suppliers following detailed review

Allianz has awarded QuestGates a long term motor fraud investigation services contract.

Under the terms of the contract, QuestGates will provide a wide range of investigation services in respect of complex first and third party losses.

The decision follows a detailed six-month long review by Allianz of its suppliers, as a result of which it has cut the number of companies on its fraud investigation panel from five to three.

Allianz said QuestGates achieved a higher than average rating in every category assessed in addition to achieving the best audit results and conversion rate.

Allianz Fraud Controller David Halstead said: “We’ve worked with QuestGates for a number of years now and had little doubt that the review process would confirm our perceptions of the quality of their proposition.

“However, we were exceptionally impressed by both the focus on innovation and consistency of service delivery that QuestGates has demonstrated. Both these qualities proved to be winning factors in our decision making process.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
