Amlin plc announced today that its Lloyd's syndicate - Syndicate 2001 - has acquired the renewal rights to around £18m of commercial insurance business currently written by the Provinces Division of Aioi Insurance Company of Europe Limited.
This business comprises commercial property and casualty, motor fleet and motor trade insurance.
The transfer excludes policies associated with Toyota.
Amlin director and divisional underwriter Brian Carpenter said: "This acquisition helps to broaden our distribution and, in line with our strategic plan, achieves a larger foothold in UK property insurance. It will also add to our core commercial motor account."
