In a statement issued by Aon yesterday the company said it has “found indications that some employees have not always followed” the brokerage's code of conduct and values.
Aon chief executive Patrick Ryan told reporters on Sunday that Aon was “very comfortable with its past behaviour”.
A statement issued on Monday, however, said there had been some employees “have not always followed the principles” of the company.
In the statement released yesterday Ryan reiterated his confidence in Aon employees saying: “I believe the vast majority of our employees adhere to the longstanding principles embodied in our code of conduct.”
Aon has been subpoenaed by the New York attorney general as part of its probe into allegations of bid rigging at Marsh.
