Aon has launched an insurance solution aimed at reducing the “burden of costly liability premiums” for hauliers.

The product will enable hauliers to insure their employer, public and customers' freight liability under one policy.

It is aimed at small to medium-sized road haulage and courier firms with a turnover of around £1-2 million and offers:
· public liability cover of up to £2 million
· employers' liability insurance of £10 million
· freight liability a minimum of £250,000 but bespoke according to requirements.

The product is underwritten by Royal & SunAlliance.

“Traditionally, hauliers have taken out three separate policies to achieve this level of cover so this package aims to reduce the time, effort and money spent on managing these insurances,” said Aon.

Gill Bewes, UK Development Executive in Aon Marine's specialist Transport and Logistics team, said: “As we all know, hauliers are already trading on incredibly tight margins and now that European counterparts are slashing their rates, UK companies are being forced to follow suit. Buying your liability insurances ‘in bulk' to strike up a more competitive deal is just one way hauliers can help to minimise the damage to their bottom line.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
