Product created with Lloyd’s insurer Amlin

Broking group Aon has launched a new product for estate owners through its private client business Aon Estate Practice.

Developed in conjunction with Lloyd’s insurer Amlin, the solution provides tailored cover to the owners of country houses and estates.

Aon Private Clients managing director Toby Carnduff said: “Insuring a rural country estate is very different from buying a simple home insurance policy.

“Usually it’s not only a family home but also a commercial business with unique considerations such as event management, public and employers’ liability and business interruption to take into account. This new product, exclusive to the Aon Estates Practice, will allow us to provide tailored specialist cover to cater for the risk management needs of modern estates.”

Amlin class underwriter Kevin Poland said: “Amlin is pleased to be the insurance provider behind the Aon Estates product. The Aon team has a unique combination of technical insurance knowledge and an in-depth understanding of the rural estate environment. We believe that this blend of skills will fulfill clients’ needs, offering a comprehensive solution in this complex area.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
