Aon has launched a solicitor professional indemnity product targeted at practices of between two and ten partners.

The PI package will be underwritten by QBE, which recently acquired the insurer Iron Trades.

"It will be competitive and will include an option to pay for instalments," said Martyn Roffey, chairman of Aon Professions.

"As well as variable excesses and limits on cover of up to £10m, or higher in selected cases, there will be a streamlined claims service simplifying the claims process.

"This will be handled by solicitors who are experienced in PI claims work, and it includes a free helpline service."
