Arch Insurance Company Europe has recruited two teams in a bid to expand its UK-based operations.
The insurer has recruited members of Liberty's liability team as well as a personal accident team from CNA.
Liberty confirmed that two members of its liability team had left to join Arch.
CNA confirmed that some of its personal accident and travel team members, including the head of department, had handed in their notice.
CNA could not confirm which company the team was joining.
Arch said it would not comment on the recruitment of staff until they had taken up their position.
But it added: "Arch Insurance Company is expanding its teams in both London and Germany to meet broker demands."
