Liability adjuster, Argent, part of the Parabis Group, is to establish a new health and safety division as a result of winning an outsourcing contract from UK tour operator, TUI UK.

Tim Oliver, managing partner of the Parabis Group said: “We are delighted to build on our relationship with TUI UK in such an innovative fashion and I am sure this is an arrangement that will shape the future direction of the marketplace for tour operators.

"We are in dialogue with other companies and as more tour operators join our scheme we will be able to achieve even greater savings for the travel industry in the future.”

Neil Ventris, managing director of Argent said: “Tour operators are under constant and increasing pressure to safeguard their customers, while at the same time reduce cost. Having worked with TUI UK for some time now, we have responded to their need for a coherent answer to Health and Safety and risk assessment auditing.”

Louise Bates head of delivery and performance at TUI UK, added: “The Argent health & safety solution reflects the way that the industry is moving. It reduces costs, duplication of effort and offers economies of scale. I am confident that the new set up will improve efficiency of the auditing process, free up our resort staff to focus on serving holidaymakers and ultimately reduce the incidence of injury and illness."
