Broker Howden has arranged a specialist insurance scheme for asbestos inspectors with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The cover is available exclusively available to surveyors and construction professionals who undertake a five-day practical and theory course with the National Individual Asbestos Certification Scheme.

Policies are underwritten by a number of Lloyd's insurers led by Canopius.

Howden now wants other brokers to distribute the cover.
