Paul Lumbis to head corporate finance advisory practice.
Atlas Partners LLP has appointed Paul Lumbis, the former managing director at Guy Carpenter & Co's M&A division at GC Securities Ltd is to head a new corporate finance advisory practice.
As managing partner for Atlas Partners, Lumbis will provide a number of corporate advisory services for (re)insurance clients covering the UK, Bermuda, Europe, Middle East, India and Africa.
Lumbis will be joined by former GC Securities senior vice president David Coles as director and former vice president at GC Securities, Jon de Jager as assistant director. Additional appointments are due to be made in 2009.
Lumbis said: "For far too long, the international insurance and reinsurance mid-market has been underserved by the investment banking community.
"Atlas Partners LLP intends to address this opportunity by providing a full range of independent, market-specific corporate finance advice and analysis to support our clients' strategies."
Former Ernst & Young executive Lumbis has 15 years experience in the UK and international insurance sector.
