Tropical Storm Risk (TSR) has forecast a slightly below average season for 2003/4 for Australian-region tropical cyclone activity.
The forecast spans the Australian season from 1 November 2003 to 30 April 2004. It is based on data up to the end of September 2003.
TSR said the below average prediction for Australian-region tropical activity was due to above average sea surface temperature in the region.
