Autoglass has sent 21 car windscreen repair workers to France to help out its sister company Carglass, which is based on the Continent, following devastating gales which hit the country last week.
"Hundreds of otherwise driveable cars suffered smashed windscreens and side windows due to debris thrown up by the gales," said Autoglass managing director Ian Carlisle. "As the only pan-European windscreen repair and replacement organisation, this has been a solid demonstration of our ability to respond to motorists' needs."
