Specialist van insurance broker extends goods-in-transit list
Staffordshire-based van insurance broker Autonet has added Royal Sun Alliance (RSA) to its panel of goods-in-transit insurers.
The UK’s largest independently owned van insurance broker finalised a deal with RSA to offer a new policy titled Haulage Solutions, offering haulage and courier cover with competitive excess, 24-hour protection and additional personal effects cover.
Autonet Insurance managing director Ian Donaldson said: “It’s great to work with RSA for our commercial lines insurance products. We have had a close affiliation with them for many years providing van insurance. This new deal for goods in transit will hopefully strengthen our relationship even further and benefit both parties concerned as well as our customers.”
The brokerage has offered goods-in-transit insurance for the past six years along with commercial products including public liability, fleet and motor trade insurance. With high demand for parcel delivery services in the UK, the majority of drivers will seek insurance cover for the goods they carry, to protect against accidental damage and theft.
