Average premiums for young drivers placed with independent van insurance broker Autonet Insurance so far this year are 23% lower than last year.

The average premium for male van drivers aged 21 or under from January to May was £1,268 compared with £1,646 in the same period in 2012, the broker said.

Autonet Insurance managing director Ian Donaldson said: “These figures are very pleasing. It is renowned within the industry that younger drivers are finding sourcing cheaper insurance premiums harder and harder. Our efforts to drive premiums down have obviously paid off and we will adapt our strategies so these savings can hopefully continue throughout 2013.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
