Hayley Robinson to rejoin her old firm on 11 November

Aviva personal lines chief underwriting officer Hayley Robinson has left the company to rejoin her old firm RSA.

She will become RSA’s emerging markets technical director on 11 November. She fills a role vacated by David Coughlan in July, when he was promoted to group underwriting director.

Robinson joined Aviva from RSA in March 2012. Her previous role at RSA was underwriting, claims and insurance risk director for Latin America.

Aviva’s chief underwriting officer for UK and Ireland Axel Schmidt said: “Hayley Robinson has decided to leave Aviva, and we wish her well in her new job. We will announce her replacement in due course.”

Robinson’s departure from Aviva comes on the heels of a string of high-profile exits from the company’s UK general insurance business.

Most recently, broker performance director Sam Hudson left the company to pursue a new opportunity.

UK general insurance chief executive Robin Spencer left the company at the beginning of October, claims head Dominic Clayden left in August for QBE, and intermediary and partnerships director Janice Deakin departed Aviva for broker Arthur J Gallagher in April.
