Changes needed to follow Wim Dik’s retirement

UK insurance giant Aviva has shaken up its board making Richard Goeltz senior independent director from 1 January 2009. He succeeds Wim Dik who will retire at next year's Annual General Meeting. Goeltz joined the board in May 2004.

The company also said that Scott Wheway would chair its remuneration committee instead of Goeltz. He joined the board in December 2007.

Carole Piwnica has been appointed chairman of the corporate social responsibility committee succeeding Wim Dik. She joined the board in May 2003.

Euleen Goh who will join the board in January 2009 will become a member of the audit committee and the corporate social responsibility committee.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
