AXA has launched a household insurance product, AXA First, as part of its delivery of new personal lines products for regional brokers.

The policy will be available for properties with up to three bedrooms and will provide a building sum insured cover of a maximum of £350,000. Other features of AXA First include £2m public liability insurance, contents cover up to £35,000, valuables cover of £10,000 and single article limits of £2,000.

AXA First will form part of a suite of products that includes existing policies such as mass market offering AXA Extra and AXA Exclusives, aimed at wealthier policy holders.

AXA managing director of personal intermediary Karen Hogg said: “We’ve listened to the feedback from our brokers and we’re confident that our enhanced suite of household products is evidence of the commitment we have made to meeting brokers’ evolving needs.

“We’ve broadened our appetite for risk and are building solutions to suit the vast majority of customers’ needs. We’re also making it easier for regional brokers to do business with us by designing these solutions to be traded electronically through their software houses.”
