AXA snaps up QBE underwriter

AXA Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary has appointed Karen Young as senior underwriter for its Reading branch.

Young joins the Reading branch’s specialist schemes team and will work as a dedicated point of contact for its brokers on some of the insurer’s largest schemes.

Young joins from QBE where she was a commercial underwriter for the last six years. Prior to that, she held commercial underwriting roles at Willis, AXA, Chubb and RSA.

AXA Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary branch manager for Reading Ed Pugh said: “Karen has a wealth of technical underwriting experience.
