QBE promotes Doran to underwriting manager

QBE has appointed Amanda Doran (pictured) as underwriting manager of its UK combined portfolio with immediate effect.

Doran was the property and commercial combined underwriting manager at Brit UK and transferred to QBE following its acquisition of the renewal rights of Brit Insurance UK’s regional operations earlier this year. 

Prior to Brit UK, Doran was the managing director of Synergy Insurance Services and spent eight years at Amlin as a class underwriter.

QBE UK and European markets property director Finlay Smith said: “I am delighted that Amanda has accepted the new role of UK combined underwriting manager. Our plan is to provide the complete product spectrum from our Fast Flow, small business product, to QBE’s traditional specialisms at large and complex risks.” 

He added: “Amanda’s experience will be invaluable as we grow our business further.”
