François-Xavier Boisseau, director of underwriting and claims at AXA Insurance UK will replace Tim Ablett as UK managing director of rival insurer Groupama.

Groupama chairman and chief executive Pierre Lefèvre worked with Boisseau, a long-time AXA executive, when Lefèvre was chairman and chief executive of AXA UK.

It was announced last week that Ablett will leave Groupama on 17 April after heading a management buyout team that acquired Royal & SunAlliance's UK healthcare and assistance business.

Boisseau, who is currently on holiday, could not be contacted.

He starts his new role on 1 June 2003.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
