AXA splits claims MD role in two

AXA’s managing director of claims David Williams has been handed a new role at AXA, becoming managing director of commercial claims only, Insurance Times has learnt.

The move follows AXA's restructure of its commercial lines and personal lines businesses last year, when it was announced that two separate divisions would be created.

Tony Peppard has been appointed managing director of claims in the personal lines division, headed by chief executive Steve Hardy. The new division incorporates household, lifestyle and personal motor.

Amanda Blanc, AXA's new commercial lines chief executive, is expected to announce the structure of her division shortly after starting the role on February 14.

Meanwhile, AXA's corporate partnerships managing director Gary Stott has left the company.

Corporate partnerships was picked up by Mike Keating, who became managing director, intermediary and partner sales in the personal lines reshuffle.
