Broker to work with Biba on younger broker initiatives and a review of its website
Top 50 personal lines insurance broker Be Wiser has joined Biba.
Chairman and chief executive Mark Bower-Dyke said the move was prompted by the desire to join in the drive with other brokers to improve the industry.
“We are pleased to become Biba members at a challenging time for insurance brokers,” Bower-Dyke said.
“We believe that as an industry we need a strong trade association, which proactively represents the interests of the whole broking market. Sitting on the fence and not helping in reshaping of our industry is no longer an option.
“If we as brokers want to improve our industry then we have to take part, membership is the first step and all brokers should take it.”
Staff from Be Wiser will also work with Biba on the trade body’s younger broker initiatives and the review of its website.
Biba chief executive Steve White said: “We are delighted to welcome Be Wiser Insurance into Biba membership. It is important that the broking sector stands together with a strong voice, and as a respected insurance broker, we look forward to working with them on the issues impacting our sector.”
