Benfield Corporate Risk is set to open an office in Norway following the acquisition of marine and energy broker, Parisco AS and its subsidiary Parisco Marine AS.
Based in Oslo, the company employs seven staff who will all remain with the company and services the Scandinavian offshore energy, oilfield services and marine industries.
John Lapsley, chief executive of Benfield Corporate Risk said, “Parisco AS is a successful business which has grown rapidly since its inception in 2001.
“Acquiring Parisco AS provides us with an excellent opportunity to expand Benfield Corporate Risk's corporate insurance broking services to customers and prospects in the specialised Scandinavian marine and energy market, and wider Nordic region.”
