Former accountant Stephen Greene joins broker board
Lloyd’s broker Besso has appointed Stephen Greene as a non-executive director.
Greene was a partner at accounting firm BDO Stoy Hayward from 1974 to 2002. He is also executive chairman of Rankvale Holdings and Rankvale European Property Investors, an umbrella organisation for property investment and development opportunities both in the UK, continental Europe and the US.
“Today Besso faces new opportunities and the composition of the group board must reflect a broad experience,” said Besso executive chairman Michael Wade in a statement. “Stephen, together with Tony Hulse who joined as a NED in October, will help the executive management team fulfill its strategy of growing the business.”
Besso completed a management buy-out in April, in which Wade acquired a 15% stake in the broker and became its executive chairman.
