Portal will encompase accident, health and specialty products

Lloyd's insurer Jubilee has launched a web-based broker trading portal called J:B2B at the 2011 BIBA conference in Manchester.

The portal offers a range of accident and health (A&H) and specialty products supported by what the company describes as "unique" commission and profit share arrangements.

The first product available is business travel. This will be followed by a suite of A&H products, including personal accident and travel, and a range of other specialty lines and added-value products. All products on the portal will be underwritten by Jubilee Syndicate 5820.

Brokers will receive a standard 25% commission rate and 20% profit share across the A&H range. Jubilee said future products will provide an attractive range of rates depending on the specific product and the distribution opportunity.

Jubilee's head of marketing and business development, Nick Grazier, said J:B2B was not just a stand-alone business distribution tool.

"By blending the trading platform with our product development expertise and attractive commission and profit share arrangements, we are able to fully support our broker partners in developing revenue-generating schemes for their client base and bespoke solutions for affinity groups," he said in a statement.
