The British Insurance Brokers' Association has launched a scheme for the late night entertainment industry to cover extended opening hours, following the Licensing Act 2003.

The new scheme, ClubPM, has been created in partnership with Lloyd's broker and BIBA member Maestro Tasker and provides competitive cover for nightclubs, dance venues, live entertainment venues and late licensed bars.

Benefits of the scheme include: 15% commission to Biba members; low excesses and discounted rates; A rated security; and electronic documentation issued at inception.

Paul Tasker, managing director of Maestro Tasker, said: “Since the introduction of the 2003 Licensing Act the industry providing late night entertainment has changed and with this change has come new insurance requirements. ClubPM provides cover which takes into account current legislation and is complimented by risk management advice.”

Graeme Trudgill, Biba technical services manager, commented: “With the modern extended licensing hours there are more venues offering late night entertainment, this new scheme gives Biba brokers the opportunity to generate new business through these potential clients. We are really pleased to offer this scheme which provides members with professional expertise in this field and a market leading product.”
