Biba members get access to one-day car insurer site

Temporary Cover, the online short term insurance provider, and the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) have launched a joint website allowing Biba members to provide short term motor insurance online via a Biba branded Temporary Cover website.

Temporary Cover Managing Director, Alan Inskip, said: "The Biba Temporary Cover site gives brokers the opportunity to sell short term cover in a way that suits them. From our experience in the broker market we know that a large number want to embrace new and innovative ways of doing business in order to remain competitive and profitable. Part of this means offering the range and quality of products their customers require, which is where we come in. Our sales and enquiry levels indicate increasing levels of interest."

The Biba Temporary Cover site has been designed to streamline and simplify the sales process both for broker and customer. Once registered with Temporary Cover, Biba members have their fees added to the basic premium and are credited with the amount due via a monthly settlement. Customers receive their documentation instantaneously via email.

The Biba version of Temporary Cover also gives registered Biba members exclusive policy features such as up to 7 days free EU cover for all comprehensive policies and personal accident cover with all policies. Biba members also have access to a new online admin area giving data on historical quotes so that the customer and brokers do not have to re-supply details if they take up cover later.

Biba technical services manager, Steve Foulsham added "This is exactly the kind of initiative our members tell us they need and is one of the ways that we can work on their behalf to secure the best available products in the market, helping to improve and differentiate their service."
