Bollington Group has bolstered its wholesale broker schemes business with the acquisition of FM Green.

The deal boosts Bollington's premium income by almost £20m to £70m.

The management structure of both companies will be altered with Andrew Rogers moving from his managing director role at FM Green to take up the same post at Bollington.

FM Green chairman Ian Richens will become director of affinity and schemes for Bollington.

Paul Moors, chairman of Bollington, told Insurance Times the broker would now push for organic growth as well as adding new products to its range. In particular the broker will focus on its wholesale book by tying up synergies between the two companies.

Moors said further deals would be announced imminently as the broker steps up its acquisition campaign. "We have a strong brand in key niche areas," he said. "We are looking for companies which are doing charity and care or motor trade business."
