Broker beats off competition from several rivals at tender

The Bollington Group has signed a deal to broke motor trade commercial insurance products for AA Insurance.

The AA is now launching products including cover for recovery operators, taxis, motor traders and repairers and self drive hire companies.

AA chief executive Andrew Strong said the company wanted its commercial lines business to rival its personal lines book.

As part of the deal, Bollington is offering AA fleet cover to its own commercial customers.

Bollington Group chairman Paul Moors said: “Our broking experience, coupled with the AA’s creative marketing ability, is a perfect arrangement. It offers huge potential including development of new services created through AA’s financial services such as business credit card or fuel cards.”

Apart from the motor trade, the AA also provides commercial insurance products for areas such as pubs, hotels, traders and small commercial fleet cover.
