Ernesto Berger joins as onshore energy underwriter from Swiss Re
Brit Insurance has appointed Ernesto Berger as onshore energy underwriter, working alongside John Bryce.
He has taken up his new position on Brit Insurance’s energy team, reporting to Andrew Pembroke.
Berger has over a decade of experience in the insurance, risk management and energy arenas and joins Brit Insurance from Swiss Re, where he spent three years as an underwriter at Swiss Re Energy Onshore, in London.
In this role, he developed an impressive London Market broker and client base. Prior to this, he was Swiss Re’s onshore energy risk expert for the oil and petrochemical industry, and also spent four years as a risk engineer for Swiss Re management services.
