Mid-net-worth sector product enhanced

Brit Insurance will provide access to its Advantage Home Insurance product through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology, exclusively via Software Solutions Partners (SSP) systems.

Brit Insurance’s Advantage Home Insurance product, which is targeted at the mid-net-worth sector of the household market, was redeveloped and re-launched in early 2007 to provide enhanced cover for the customer across all sections.

Simon Cooter, Head of UK Distribution, Brit Insurance commented:
"Brit Insurance identified a clear growth opportunity in the mid-net-worth household sector with brokers remaining the preferred distribution channel for this market. It was this recognition that led to us work with SSP to provide simple, convenient and efficient access to our offering through the use of EDI technology.

"With SSP we are providing a further method of accessing our household product, representing another move towards additional utilisation of electronic trading at Brit Insurance."

Adrian Coupland, Head of Insurer Relationships at SSP added:
"We are delighted to have added Brit Insurance to the SSP platform. Over the past 6 months we have increased the number of insurers trading household business on a Full-Cycle EDI basis considerably, and this is being greatly received by our broker community."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
