SSP's broker business network, KC Partners, is expanding its SME offering by launching a new commercial lines initiative

KC Partners has expanded its SME offering with the launch of a new commercial lines initiative.

SSP’s broker network aims to replicate its electronic personal lines trading model by developing strategic relationships with UK commercial lines insurers.

The network is in discussion with a limited number of insurers that to create a panel aiming to deliver a range of competitive SME products to the network’s members, who already control around £1.5 billion of gross written premium.

Liz Latter, head of KC Partners said “In recent years we have seen a significant increase in the commercial business controlled by our members and the opportunities for them to target the SME sector are substantial.

"The KC Partners commercial initiative will ensure our members are able to further capitalise on these opportunities with access to an innovative range of products and services from some of the UK’s leading commercial lines insurers. We are in advanced discussions with a number of insurers who are keen to become strategic partners in order to widen their distribution, whilst minimising costs.”

KC Partners said that it expected to announce its first strategic insurer for commercial lines immanently.
