David Hancock, Andy Camber and Andrew Ravenscroft join rival Lloyd’s insurer to build new property book

Brit has hired three property underwriters from rival Lloyd’s insurer Amlin to develop a new UK property portfolio.

David Hancock has joined Brit as head of UK property. He will be joined by Andy Camber and Andrew Ravenscroft, who have been hired as property class underwriters. Both will report to Hancock.

The new property account will be written in London and form part of  the Brit global speciality property facilities division led by Christiern Dart.

Brit Global Specialty chief executive Matthew Wilson said: “We are very pleased to attract three experienced UK market practitioners to Brit Global Specialty.

“We look forward to expanding our coverage into UK property with three exceptionally talented individuals, focused on establishing a core book of business written on our Lloyd’s platform.”  

Hancock previously held an “underwriting management role” at Amlin UK.

Camber was previously lead class underwriter in the UK property owners team at Amlin UK.

Ravenscroft was a leading class underwriter on the property household account at Amlin UK.
