Portrait of the late Andrew Paddick is unveiled.
Broker Direct has opened a second office in Bolton to cater for its ambitious expansion plans.
The official opening took place on 25 November when a specially commissioned portrait of the late Andrew Paddick, founder chairman of Broker Direct and director general of the Institute of Insurance Brokers was unveiled by his widow, Sheila.
The event was also attended by representatives from the IIB, insurers, brokers, members from training companies and local authorities, giving Broker Direct the opportunity to showcase the new facilities as well as the local training, development and professional career opportunities offered by the company.
Roy Green, chief executive of Broker Direct, said: “We were delighted and honoured to welcome Sheila to the event. The painting will act as a very firm reminder of everything that Andrew did for our organisation and our brokers.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
