Bupa is attempting to boost sales of its products over the web by giving away air miles as well chance to intermediaries who sell using it.

The health insurer is also raffling a free holiday to New York.

Intermediaries will earn 250 air miles for any personal Bupa product they sell and up to 500 miles for any company scheme they sell.

The incentive scheme is available through Bupa's new intermediary web-site, which can be found at www.bupa.co.uk/intercom

Intermediaries that sign up will be entered into a prize draw for a trip to two to New York.

The winner will stay in a Manhattan hotel near Times Square.

To qualify, intermediaries fill in an online form at the end of each month detailing the pmi, long term care, critical illness or income protection schemes they have sold.

The air miles will be credited to their account.
