A new Bupa health plan offering personalised prices will be available from intermediaries from January next year.
Intermediaries will be offered a training programme and a series of roadshows to teach them how to enrol customers before the Heartbeat plan is launched.
Bupa will also provide an interactive website, enabling intermediaries to deal with Bupa more efficiently.
Heartbeat's personalised price will be based on lifestyle factors, hospital choice, cover selection and subscription payment method.
Bupa Membership deputy managing director, Alison Platt, said Bupa was committed to working with intermediaries to develop the market.
“Approximately 30% of our new business is sold through intermediaries,” she said.
“One of the main aims of Bupa Heartbeat is to grow the overall marketplace so that we can all benefit.”
