Canopius has appointed Tim Davies and Jennie Beard as underwriters in its sabotage and terrorism team.
The pair on new recruits will report to head of political risk and crisis management, Simon Low.
Davies most recently headed up the Willis International terrorism practice.
Beard has moved from Ark where she underwrote a global book of terrorism and political violence business.
