Smith joins with a 20 year history in regulation

Manchester-based motorcycle broker Carole Nash has appointed compliance veteran Sara Smith as head of compliance and risk.

Smith, who has spent nearly 20 years in compliance and regulation, has previously held roles at the Information Commissioners Office and Home Retail Group.

Similarly, she has become and expert of FCA regulation, as well as consumer credit, data protection and advertising standards.

Carole Nash chief executive David Newman said: “Sara’s extensive experience and knowledge of the industry will strengthen what is already a highly skilled team. Ensuring the highest levels of compliance and having effective risk management systems are at the heart of our business.”

Smith will be responsible for managing regulatory risk at the broker, as well as ensuring that it remains compliant with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.

She added: “I thrive on the challenges that regulations can bring and I’m definitely looking forward to making a big contribution to Carole Nash’s future.”
