CDL has signed a deal with Carwatch UK, which enables brokers using CDL's online platform to offer their customers a web-based vehicle health check.

Carwatch UK provides access to any recorded history on a vehicle to ensure it is fit to purchase.

A CDL statement said the agreement with Carwatch UK allows brokers to provide a value-added service for online customers, while earning commission on health checks sold.

Carwatch UK utilises links with the DVLA, motor industry, finance and insurance sectors to produce search reports on vehicle histories.

CDL general manager Rick Slater said: "Being a Carwatch affiliate means brokers can offer their customers a quick and cost-effective way of checking that the car they think they are buying is what they are actually getting.

"Without checking the history of the vehicle, it's impossible to know whether it is stolen or has previously been written off."
