Insurers CGU and home office MP Charles Clarke, launched the Safer Shopping Award at Queensway's Whiteleys Shopping Centre.
Two CGU risk assessment surveyors, John Stokes and Peter Stead, were presented awards for their work on providing a safer and more secure shopping environment.
An announcement was made about a guidance pack designed to support town centre crime management.
