?The changes were quite literally ringing at the fifth Insurance Endurance Go-Kart challenge, held last week in the hallowed confines of Daytona, Milton Keynes.

While Lamp Insurance eventually edged Sagicor for the chequered flag, Backchat spies (ideally positioned at the back-end of the starting grid) observed that some teams were taking the contest a little more seriously than others.

The field, in fact, was littered with not only the wreckage of vehicles driven by reckless Insurance Times staff, but innumerable former schoolboy champions, motorcycle record holders and wacky racers – including DAStardly.

Not to be outdone, the Marketform team put the stop in Pit-Stop Challenge by applying a rear-wheel nut backwards – much to the consternation of the Formula One trained mechanics.
