Move part of South East expansion drive

Chartis Insurance UK Limited has opened an underwriting office in Chelmsford.

“This move is part of our drive for expansion across the South East and the location offers good opportunities for our SME and middle-market initiatives,” Tom Doherty, executive director, corporate accounts practice at Chartis said. “Existing supporting brokers can continue to be well serviced but we are now in an ideal place to work and grow with new partners within the region.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
