Andrew Vokes promoted to new role within Syndicate 1084

Lloyd's insurer Chaucer has appointed Andrew Voke to the newly created role of head of production for Syndicate 1084 with immediate effect.

Voke will lead the development of the Syndicate’s global wholesale and treaty distribution strategy, with responsibility for coordinating production initiatives for Chaucer’s London and overseas offices. The role is in addition to Voke’s current role as head of marine for Syndicate 1084, which will remain unchanged.

He will report to John Fowle, active underwriter of Chaucer Syndicate 1084.

Voke joined Chaucer as head of marine in January 2008 following a 30-year career in the broking sector, including six years in the US.

John Fowle, active underwriter of Chaucer Syndicate 1084, said: “We have created this new role to bring greater focus to our distribution strategy, position in the market and our broker relationships, enhancing our profile and increasing business flow in our target areas. Andrew’s significant expertise and skills make him ideally suited to this key position within Chaucer.”

Voke added: “This is a very positive move by Chaucer to help improve the industry’s understanding of our offering and to strengthen our market position. I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to broaden my role to lead this important new development.”
