The CII has launched its new insurance qualifications framework.

The framework, which is based on a modular structure, consists of three levels of qualifications. They are:
* Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII)
* Diploma in Insurance (Dip CII)
* Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII)

Candidates will be able to choose from an initial range of 46 modules.

The CII confirmed that the government will help brokers finance staff training for the qualifications.

CII director general Sandy Scott said: "Brokers will be able to obtain public funding to run the scheme."

Current CII exam students will be given a "seamless transfer" to the new framework, according to the CII.
The CII will run a series of regional roadshows in November and December to promote the new qualifications.
