It covers holiday activities such as abseiling, mountain biking and wilderness walking with a standard excess of £45.
For more hazardous pursuits the medical excess increases in two separate tiers dependent upon the risk.
Bungee jumping, hot air ballooning, white water rafting and other similar activities carry an excess of £100 and for even higher risks the medical excess rises to a maximum of £200.
These include big game hunting, rock climbing and skydiving.
Sample net agency premiums excluding IPT are £12 for five days travel in Europe and £22 for worldwide travel.
Twelve days is £15.20 and £33.60 respectively, and 24 days is £18.40 and £41.60 respectively.
