Claims Direct is to overhaul its claims vetting systems after acquiring computer software from one of its partner solicitor firms Poole & Co for £9.75m.

As part of the deal, Poole & Co has also agreed to subcontract its personal injury claims vetting business to Claims Direct.

Claims Direct chairman Tony Sullman said the arrangement will allow the compensation specialist to enhance the group's operations and provide it with an extra stream of income.

He said: “Ultimately, it will enable the claims process to operate more smoothly by continuing to ensure that only carefully pre-vetted cases are introduced into the system.”
