Claims management specialist Claims Plus has clinched a massive five-year contract worth about £300m with the UK's third largest direct motor insurer, Liverpool Victoria.
Claims Plus will eventually handle all of Liverpool Victoria's motor damage claims from the initial call until the driver is back on the road. But, due to the sheer scale of the operation, there will be a phasing in process for the next few months.
Liverpool Victoria group director of general insurance Kevin Durkin, said: "Liverpool Victoria has great potential for cross selling amongst its customer base as we are the most successful affinity insurer in the UK insurance industry.
"I look forward to seeing the Claims Plus service compliment our efforts to increase business in this area."
Liverpool Victoria has also linked the deal to customer satisfaction levels.
Customers will be surveyed regularly to ensure minimum agreed standard levels are maintained.
