Clear Insurance has bought £3m gross written premium (GWP) broker J H Hibbert.

Under the deal, the four members of the J H Hibbert team will move to Clear’s City of London offices in Great Tower Street.

The team will continue to be led by managing director Geoff Beaver.

This latest deal is the 18th acquisition that Clear has made since it was established in 2002. Clear places almost £60 in GWP annually.

J H Hibbert managing director Geoff Beaver said: “Becoming part of Clear is a great move for our staff and clients.

“Howard and his team have built a successful business whilst retaining their values and independence as a broker.  Their expertise in property owners and private clients will undoubtedly be a major boost as we seek to expand our presence in these areas.”

Clear chief executive Howard Lickens (pictured) added: “The team from J H Hibbert is a great addition to the Clear Group and will play an important part of our growth strategy as we approach £60m premiums.

“The business has developed a strong book of the HNW and property owners which will add nicely to our already strong capabilities in these areas.”
